1. What advice would you give to a student who is planning to take this Written Communication Course next quarter?
2. What advice would you give to the teacher that is going to teach this course next quarter?

To the student who is planning to take Written Comunication, I would advice him that use the imagination to writte, also read a topic that he finds interesting in order to have a topic to talk about if the teacher asks it unexpectly.
ReplyDeleteTo the teacher,my advice is that have patience with those students who find difficult to redact about a topic, but I also think that the teacher has to give one topic per day that has to be finished that day, so the pressure will make the student think more.
Hello everyone! The advices that I would like to give to the students who are going to take this subject are that they have to be creative and imaginative, also they should read more in order to enrich their vocabulary, and don’t be afraid when they are writing.
ReplyDeleteAnd the advice to the teacher is to make the subject interesting and active, because sometimes people hate writing, and if the class is like a routine the students will be bored.

I would advice the new students to be open for trading, trading the fear of writing for creativity and some "thinking out of the box" ideas. There is nothing worse than hating writing if you are going to take this class, that word should not even be in your thoughts because a human being mind is very powerful; the more you keep telling yourself you dislike something, the harder it gets for you to accomplish. Let's make every class a new beginning =)
ReplyDeleteTo the new teacher, we students highly appreciate when an instructor takes the time to plan activities that make the class more interesting. Writing may be exhausting because it requires lots of creativity, time, and sometimes a lot of proofreading. In addition, rather than just teaching, be also an advisor, we need someone that will help us improve, not just judge us.
I have always loved writing, although it had never been easy. Nevertheless, now it is being so much fun that ideas flow easier. As a matter of fact, I would suggest all my posts here. I really enjoy posting; even though, sometimes it takes me long to come up with the better idea to write about.

ReplyDeleteWell my advices for the students:
First, Take it easy (the course) if you dont like, but it likes you is better. Second, use the iniciative, creativity and search new words every day (vocabulary), because it is going to help you in the write; and third, always read and review your assignements, it is important for you, so you can learn a lot of your mistakes.
My advices for the Professor: more practices and less theory, so the class will be funny and the teacher will enjoyed it as the students. Apply topics related to the routine of the students according to the ages, jobs, etc..

ReplyDeleteActually my Advice to newbie in Written Communication is Read everything that you think good to remember, to be able to create ideas, to imagine, to read something that you can make another end. Advice to a Teacher: Be innovator, Don't say "Hey guys we are going to read a lots of novels this year." OMG these teachers' gonna be weary.

Ok, according my experience about this subject, I would like give some advice to the students of Written Communicaction:
ReplyDeleteLearn a lot about grammatical structure, sequence and order in the ideas, conjunctions and all the rules that exist to write a paragraphs; use the imagination and creative to each one. Read a lot because this can help to increase their vocabulary and knowladges and will develop their minds and thoughts.
To the theachers that be differents, use new methods, techniques, resources and supporting material that help to arouse the interest and love to this subject that is very important to the English Students.

ReplyDeleteThanks for participating with this interesting topic. However, I would like to say that it's sad that someone here copied and pasted her classmates ideas. This is not what the blog is about; this blog is about sharing YOUR OWN IDEAS and OPINIONS with your classmates, not using somebody else's ideas as if they were yours. If a person does that, she is not using this blog with the objective that was intended, and will not be allowed to make more contributions in the future and lose the 10% out of that grade. Honesty should be one of our main qualities as writers, and as people too.

If you will take this course, you must study a lot, you have to participate in class.
Also, you have to read and writte a lot, because it is an excellent way if you want to learn and to inprove.
My advices to the professors are:
they can teach in different ways, for example:
dynamics, practices in the laboratory, and others...
I would say that he must increase his vocabulary, to learn very well the grammaticals rules to forming accurately the sentences and express them in a neat way.

I think that the student should to have many idea because this course it need of creative in all moment for all you need many words that characterize your opinnion or form of writing that cause impact or emotion when you write . nothing in this live is difficult but you have dedication
